Digital Middleport: From Video Games to Vinyl
We’re back in Middleport to speak to young people about the changes they want to see to the area whilst giving them the chance to experience something different and have a little fun!
We’re running Digital Middleport in conjunction with Middleport Matters to give young people over the age of 14 the opportunity to have their voices heard and to suggest changes that will have a direct impact on the area where they live and learn. Digital Middleport is a scheme which has been running for the past two years in an effort to engage with young people in the area through digital means such as photography, video creation or other digital skills-building. This year, we’re offering teenagers the chance to take part in a community tournament, challenging them to participate in gaming competitions, such as FIFA, to show-off their skills and play with their friends, as well as learn how to make custom vinyl stickers that they can take with them to personalise their phones, bikes etc.
Even better, the events are completely free. Our next sessions will be on Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th March from 5-8pm.
We look forward to teaching some young people about digital design, as well as giving them the chance to have some fun and to be in with the chance to win some Amazon vouchers.
